Resources for English teachers and students
Speaking and listening are the foundations of communication. Many students have trouble learning English when they only focus on reading and writing. My English classes are fast paced, fun, and packed with speaking and listening tasks, maximising value and impact.
Self-study and teaching resources and handouts
As I have often been asked to provide lesson materials, cheat sheets, etc. for English teachers and students around the world, I have made some of these available for a small fee over on my Patreon:
https://www.patreon.com/learnedwords
Patreon is a monthly subscription service where you pledge a certain amount each month and receive rewards. In the past, these rewards have been ESL teaching and learning resources - puzzles, lesson plans, writing and conversation prompts and more.
This series of small prompts covers speaking, writing, reading or vocabulary building, each focused on a tiny grammar nugget, and similar to tasks I set when teaching conversation classes.
I have created a large collection of engaging conversation prompts, organised by tense and type of question word. You can use these in group warm-ups, as an activity in conversation classes, as written homework tasks, or to practice a certain aspect of grammar.
